We have a number of exciting opportunities working within a national mental health charity, undertaking a rigorous trainee scheme to become qualified Mental Health and Debt Advisors, with fully remote working.

Joining a team of fellow trainees, you will be fully trained on the necessary customer service skills, money and debt advice knowledge and mental health training needed to become a fully-fledged Mental Health and Debt Advisor. As your training develops, you will be coached on how to take calls from a range of clients in the midst of challenging personal circumstances in order to assess their situation and how you can best support them. Utilising your developing knowledge, you will offer personalised advice and guidance to your clients, ensuring you work within strict legal limitations at all times.

Alongside developing and building your knowledge on Money, Debt and Mental Health support and advice, you will be guided through all internal IT systems and databases to ensure these remain up to date and accurate. As you speak with clients over the telephone and email, you will be expected to log and track high volumes of confidential and sensitive information, so an organised and methodical approach will be crucial. Working closely with other trainees, Senior Debt Advisors and numerous internal stakeholders, you will be able to build strong working relationships with ease, ensuing a smooth and seamless service is delivered.

For this exciting opportunity, no previous Money, Debt or Mental Health knowledge is necessary, but experience within a customer service or administrative background would be advantageous. Crucially, you will be naturally empathetic and comfortable liaising over the telephone with a number of vulnerable clients. You will be a quick learner, happy to work independently, with strong IT skills and have achieved C grades or above at GSCE or equivalent in English and Maths.
