Are you an experienced Sales Ledger professional who is looking to develop your accounting knowledge? Would you thrive in a friendly, supportive and people centred business? We have an opportunity for an experienced Sales Ledger Assistant to join a national organisation based in Solihull, with additional flexibility for hybrid home working.

Working as part of a dedicated finance team within this thriving business, you will be fully proficient in all aspects of the sales ledger function. With streamlined and efficient systems already in place, working alongside your colleagues, you will ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day functions, maintaining ledgers for deposits across the company’s numerous sites. You will be able to turn your hand to any other duties required, matching payments to deposits, moving deposits between sites and dealing with any discrepancies between the finance ledger and the internal booking system.

Alongside your everyday duties, you will compile and issue regular reports and complete period end balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable dealing with internal auditors, suppliers and internal departments, handling any questions or queries and acting as a key point of contact within the finance team.

Previous experience working in an accounts role, predominantly with the sales ledger will be crucial, as will a basic understanding of finance accounting functions. You will be looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a client focussed business that work at pace, so experience of working with high volumes of transactions will be beneficial. Naturally you will have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and be a “numbers person” with great attention to detail.
