Are you a determined and analytical Supply Chain Assistant, looking to take the next step in your career on a part time basis? We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Supply Chain Coordinator to join this ever-growing and thriving manufacturer based in South Birmingham.
Working 25 hours per week, ideally 5 hours per day, for a company that truly expects excellence from all of its employees, you will be tasked with raising high volumes of Purchase Order numbers, processing with suppliers based in the Far East, and coordinating the supply chain through to the receipt of goods in the UK. With your excellent attention to detail you will check order acknowledgments, and notify and resolve any queries with your suppliers.
A busy and varied supply chain role, you will liaise with your freight forwarding partners to arrange delivery from international container shipments, ensuring that all import documentation is collated and processed, as well as updating shipment arrival dates on internal systems. With your fantastic analytical skills, and the ability to work with excel, using V-lookups and Pivot tables to manage and review your stock data, you will maintain arrival dates for all products, ensuring accuracy of information on stock arrivals and budgeted spend. You will work closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met and build strong relationships with the Goods In department to ensure all deliveries are received and processed accurately.
Diligent, pro-active and capable, as well as supporting the Supply Chain Manager with any other ad hoc duties that may be required, you will maintain information on various purchasing excel spreadsheets as necessary.
You will need to be a natural “numbers person”, with a keen analytical mind and first class administration skills. Previous experience of working within an international purchasing or supply chain environment is essential, ideally with experience of liaising with supply chain and freight imports in the Far East.
