We have a lovely opportunity for a confident Event Sales Executive to join an iconic, ambitious Birmingham City Centre based organisation in a pivotal position.

As Event Sales Executive, you will be playing a crucial role in the long-term development and growth of this organisation. Your role will involve promoting and selling conference and meeting venues as well private and banqueting spaces within this multi-functional organisation, overseeing all events from small intimate meetings to large-scale dinners and everything in between, developing long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the region.

Your client management skills will be absolutely key to your success within this role, acting as an ambassador of the venue and ensuring you provide an un-paralleled event service at all times. You will be responding to high volumes of general enquiries from potential clients, so a warm and confident personality, alongside polished and articulate communication skills will be essential. Talking initial leads through the event process, you will have excellent attention to detail in order to log and track all crucial information, discussing various options and ensuring all enquiries are maximised to achieve sales targets.

You will be provided with the opportunity to implement your excellent administration skills as you ensure all records are accurately maintained on an internal database system. You will also manage the costing and budgeting of events for your clients, ensuring the most comprehensive service is provided from start to finish, building relationships with an array of internal team in the process. Working within a small but dedicated team, you will make sure all health and safety regulations are consistently met, coordinating and organising internal staff for a seamless handover on the day.

To succeed in this position, you will have previous experience working in a fast-paced event sales role, ideally in a similar venue hire environment, with the ability to work under pressure and juggle priorities. A natural organiser with a great eye for detail, you will put customer service above all else and have proven experience delivering against targets. You will be comfortable working with a variety of people, ensuring the organisation’s values and high standards are met, with a flexible approach, working evenings and weekends where needed to best support clients.
