We have a unique opportunity for a Chief Operating Officer to join a market leading and highly respected global organisation, with a European wide remit and weekly travel to offices both across the UK and in Europe.

As a Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for and lead the overall operational performance of the business in line with strategic objectives, driving expansion and collaborating with stakeholders and partners in offices across Europe to ensure that the business is streamlined and high-performing, whilst ensuring a client centric approach.

As COO, you will create innovative business solutions across a range of high performing business streams, manage risk, ensure the brand is developed and protected, leading and collaborating with your team to drive delivery and ensure success. In line with this, you will be the main Executive Director on the International Board, making recommendations, writing business cases and reporting to an Executive Chairman, along with managing and overseeing the Birmingham based HQ team which spans across Marketing, Talent, Finance and Compliance.

For this challenging opportunity, you will ensure all HQ KPIs are developed, communicated and achieved accurately and efficiently across Europe, along with establishing policies, procedures and values to a high standard that promote the company’s vision and culture. A natural leader, with gravitas, the ability to work autonomously, outstanding stakeholder management experience and strong communication skills, you will hold responsibility for relationships with all internal and external stakeholders – including the international board – across Europe, taking accountability for all budgetary control, management, financial planning and HQ spending.

As COO you will travel extensively to your offices across Europe for 2 – 3 days per week, with the remainder of your time being based in the central Birmingham and London offices. As you would expect from a position of this nature, the role will see you representing the organisation through a high volume of internal and external meetings and events across Europe.

This role is extremely fast-paced and diverse, so the ability to see the bigger business picture along with always having a close eye on the detail required to ensure success across multiple business streams is extremely important. You will be a proven leader in a similar role with demonstrable success and a collaborative approach, with experience of driving excellent performance in a business where you have a European wide remit and multiple reporting lines. You will be from the professional services sector, naturally with exceptional people and stakeholder engagement skills, along with fantastic communication and confidence to drive and develop strong performance and working relationships with partners and teams across the business.
