In this rewarding and challenging sales opportunity, you will be tasked with identifying and qualifying new business opportunities for this organisation, alongside the wider Account Management team. With an innately positive and friendly nature, you will speak to customers and build relationships with ease. As a Sales Account Manager with this prestigious organisation, you will generate sales leads and organise sales meetings for the Account Managers, as well as analysing existing customer needs and recommending products to the senior management/account management team, to help boost sales. You will manage a portfolio of new and existing clients, developing these relationships, ensuring they receive outstanding service at all times and identifying their needs and promoting the organisation’s products and solutions.
Working in this fast-paced and dynamic role where no two days will be the same, you will develop and strengthen relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and architects, as well as regularly updating and maintaining the CRM system, ensuring all account records are accurate and informative. Working alongside the field-based Account Managers, you will assist them in reaching and exceeding their sales targets and KPIs by helping with project development and identifying key decision makers. As the Sales Account Manager, you will set up new accounts by inputting and maintaining all key customer and project-related information, as well as creating and distributing formal quotes to customers.
In this truly dynamic, varied and exciting opportunity, you will assist the regional Account Managers with the quick turnaround of sales opportunities, such as quotations and pricing requests from customers, as well as dealing with customer enquiries in a speedy and helpful manner. You will organise and participate in weekly telephone calls with field-based Account Managers, prioritising the upcoming weekly activities, as well as discussing identified opportunities from research to determine which projects need to be developed and progressed.
You will need to have strong experience in a similar customer sales/internal sales role and have an excellent telephone manner. With outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a fantastic work ethic, you will need to be a real team player who loves to go the extra mile. You will need to be adaptable and proactive in all that you attempt, and the ability to be resilient under pressure is key, along with outstanding analytical skills. For this role, you will need to be comfortable with the Microsoft package and be adept at using CRM systems. This lively and varied role will see you occasionally meet with clients after work, so a flexible approach is essential.
