In this exciting and varied Senior IT Support opportunity, you will act as the primary support provider for over 200 users in the UK and Ireland, as well as providing secondary support to over 700 users around the rest of Europe. You will respond to and resolve tickets in a timely manner, answering any queries from staff members in the process. As a Senior Desktop IT Support Technician, you will troubleshoot for all software and hardware issues that may arise, including for local and networking printing, connectivity, mobile devices and remote access.

As a Senior Desktop Support Technician within this global company, you will utilise your highly developed analytical skills to perform root-cause analysis and develop checklists for typical problems, in an attempt to increase efficiency and reduce repeat issues. You will handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-ups for difficult user IT issues, referring more complex problems to the next level of technical staff within the company. In this truly fast-paced permanent opportunity, you will also provide technical guidance, support and informal training for users and less experienced team members, acting as a technical resource when required.

For this outstanding IT Support opportunity, you will need to have extensive experience in a similar multi-site role, ideally providing technical support to high volumes of employees. It would be highly advantageous to hold a relevant higher education qualification in either IT or Business related subjects. Outstanding knowledge and experience working with software deployment tools such as SCCM and Altiris and experience of working with Mobile Device Management systems is essential.

This exciting role is primarily based in an office, but around 20% of the time there will be travel to other sites across the UK to provide technical support to users, occasionally at short notice, so a degree of flexibility is required.
