We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Director to join this well-regarded Hospitality business, overseeing the company’s group of West Midlands based venues.

As HR Director, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic development, management and delivery of company-wide HR services and leading the small internal HR team. A senior leader within the business, you will be a key member of the Business Board and report into the Managing Director, taking responsible for establishing and creating robust and innovative HR processes and procedures to ensure a streamlined HR service is delivered across multiple sites. With an in-depth knowledge of employment law, you will oversee all learning and development initiatives, support with recruitment practices and payroll services and be confident utilising an array of HR software and applications.

Joining a company that puts employee engagement, equality and inclusion at the forefront of everything they do, you will be passionate about supporting all employees to be the best they can be. This will include regularly reviewing performance metrics in order to offer learning and development opportunities, providing coaching and mentoring support to managers and ultimately ensure that the HR function is working as well as possible to the benefit of all staff. You will also hold regular one to ones and offer performance feedback to your team of four direct reports within the HR team, acting as the go to person for any questions or concerns they may have.

To succeed in this fast-paced and exciting HR Director role, you will have extensive HR experience at a senior management level, ideally from a multi-site background. Knowledge and experience of TUPE as well as a strong working understanding of employment law will be crucial, as will a methodical and organised approach. You will be a confident and articulate communicator, with strong IT skills and be used to working in a busy and dynamic working environment with numerous projects and priorities to juggle. As the role includes travel between venues, a full UK driving license will also be a must.
