We have a lovely opportunity for a talented Marketing and Events Executive to join this developing organisation in Birmingham City Centre.
Working as the Marketing and Events Executive within this close-knit and dynamic team, you will be tasked with overseeing and taking responsibility for a wide range of duties, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing, social media and website content management. Key responsibilities of this exciting role will be updating and maintaining the company website, designing and sending out newsletters, creating all relevant and engaging social media content, as well as designing regular magazines, brochures and other creative literature.
With an innate creative flair, you will assist with the promotion and marketing of all events, as well as devising and implementing marketing and communications strategies to boost member and public engagement. Overseeing the company’s various social media platforms, you will engage with members and sponsors, tracking engagement and presenting monthly reports to the board. Monitoring and handling all administration surrounding website and social media maintenance, you will be the go-to person for any questions or queries regarding promoting company-wide initiatives and projects, so strong communication and relationship building skills will be crucial.
In a role that truly keeps you on your toes, you will also support the smooth running of this department, including Line Managing an Administrative Assistant and ensuring their professional and personal development. Assisting with CRM management, tracking the Marketing budget and working cohesively alongside the Events team, you will need to be commercially savvy and imaginative in all you do.
For this exciting and rewarding opportunity, you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, need to be of degree calibre, preferably within a marketing-related subject or be the holder of a relevant marketing communications qualification. A minimum of three years’ experience within a digital marketing or events environment is essential, and previous experience of working within a professional services environment is advantageous. You will need to have demonstrable experience of creating a wide range of marketing content across various digital and print platforms, as well as the ability to analyse and predict trends in relation to social media performance.
